01 · THE NAME
Chantico and the hearth
Chantico is a Mexica deity connected with domestic fire and the hearth. Her name is often understood as “in the home” or “she who dwells in the house.”
That meaning felt right for an application made to care for the everyday rhythm of a home. Technology should not demand attention for its own sake. It should quietly help create comfort, safety, and a sense that everything is in its place.
02 · MY ROOTS
Proudly connected to Mexico
I am proud of my Mexican roots. Choosing the name Chantico is a personal way to honor that heritage while building something new.
The name carries a connection to home that feels both ancient and immediate. Chantico is not meant to turn that tradition into a mascot. It is used with respect—as an acknowledgment of where I come from and of the culture that shaped me.
03 · THE APP
A calmer center for the modern home
Today, the hearth can also be understood as the center of a connected home: the place where lights, devices, rooms, scenes, and routines come together.
That is what I want Chantico to become—a warm, trustworthy, local-first home controller that feels at home on Windows and gives people meaningful control over their own spaces.
